Dry surface conditions:
As we have seen many times before, the Continental PremiumContact 7 had a significant lead in dry braking. Although the Goodyear was last in dry braking, it also has the highest initial tread depth, which affects this test.
The Continental was also the fastest on the bike with dry handling.
Wet conditions:
Surprisingly, the Continental was again in the lead in wet braking.
Continental also led in wet handling and wet grip tests.
The aquaplaning test, which tests a tire's ability to shed water, showed that Falken, Vredestein and Goodyear performed very well in deeper water, suggesting that these tires have an effective tread pattern that minimizes the risk of aquaplaning.
