About the project
We are an independent portal that helps drivers choose the right tyre based on data, not advertising. In one place you will find ratings from independent tests, real reviews from drivers and current prices from verified online shops.
Our goal is a clear and fair comparison of tyres by size, season and what matters to you, so that you can decide quickly and well.
Who we are
We are an information and comparison portal. Our job is to sum up clearly what independent tests and drivers' experience say about tyres, and to show you where to buy them at the best price.
What you will find here
- PTI (Pneutesty Index). A rating from 4 to 10 based on measurements from independent tests by automobile clubs, magazines and testers from all over Europe (ADAC, ÖAMTC, Auto Bild, Auto Motor und Sport, Auto Zeitung and others). How we calculate it is explained in the article What is PTI.
- Driver reviews. Experience of real users, including the kilometres they have driven. You will find them next to PTI on each product. They do not count towards PTI.
- Prices and availability. Offers from verified online shops, which we match to a specific model and size by barcode (EAN). The price does not count towards PTI.
What PTI is made of

| Ice | braking, traction and handling on ice. It is not part of the default rating, but you can add it with a slider. |
What the rating is based on
Next to PTI you can see how many tests it comes from and how old the latest test is. A tyre with a single test gets a provisional rating, and for tyres with few measurements we also show the range where the data puts them. Only independent tests count, reviews do not. This lets you tell a thoroughly tested model from one we still know little about.
