With sport tyres, grip in every situation is what decides — under hard acceleration, under braking, in the dry and in the wet. Arivo Ultra ARZ 5 XL belongs to this group. Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. Where a standard tyre covers roughly 40,000 km, a sport tyre manages about 20,000 to 30,000 km — and considerably less with a sharper driving style or a heavier, more powerful car.

What owners say
<p>Tires have very poor water evacuation, and aquaplaning occurs even at low speed. The sidewalls changed color and turned brown just one month after purchase.</p>
Fitted to a 2020 RAV4 hybrid with aftermarket alloy wheels. They have been a great tyre and I have had no issues with traction wet or dry. I live in Auckland, NZ which has mild weather but can be very wet. Also I have had no issues with the occasional gravel road that I drive. They have lasted just over two years and are down to the final 2.5mm of tread. I do roughly 110KM a day, mainly motorway. Fuel economy has not been affected.
