ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2

<p>It is a great solid tire on a 3rd gen Tacoma, but I did not off road or do enough logging roads to make the tires worth the purchase for me. The road noise and comfort on roads and highways are the only reason I would not buy them again for my use case. The wear and tear is great on these tires and a solid winter driver.</p>

These are one of the default AT tires for a reason. I haven't used these off road extensively but they have seen a few rock covered trails and plenty of rough gravel roads with no issues. Mud traction is just OK but of course these aren't mud tires. Snow, slush, and even deep snow traction has been great, but grip on ice and hard packed snow is much less impressive and reminds you these aren't proper winter tires. This might be a compromise most AT tires make, but it's bad enough I wouldn't recommend these for someone who just wants all weather performance for a street driven truck/SUV. If you need a durable do anything on/off road tire, especially in warmer and drier climates, these would be a great option.

Great tyre, leagues ahead of the OEM figment tyre on the ute. Didn’t compromise NVH, didn’t compromise wet grip, massively better off-road.
In soft sand it sat a little lower, there was slightly more resistance but you are able to apply power much more effectively and so you can drive through the resistance much more easily.
No flats! I had two flats in 15,000kms on the stock tyres (off-road across/ around Australia trip) and never had a flat since.
Moved to the Maxxis RAZR AT811 which is a little better in mud, but cannot go wrong with a BFG AT KO2!

An excellent AT tire in my opinion - it doesn't feel useless in any situation. I have been impressed with my KO2s in snow and in light offroad. Grip is great in both. I have driven over a few rocks and never felt there was a risk of a puncture. For any potential buyers, keep in mind there is a trade off on road. In the dry the tires can squeal in bends, especially if it is hot (tire pressure is correct). In the wet there is a higher risk of straight aquaplaning. The tires are noisier than regular road tires but I haven't felt any negative effects in comfort. In terms of wear I haven't noticed any decline in performance in the 4+ years I've been using them. One final though - when I ordered them, I didn't know there was an option w/o white lettering and this is what I got. A bit of a shame since my car is black and the RWL would have looked awesome.

4 K02's where fitted in September 2022 @ 10700km. I was told to expect 80-100k km life. I do drive many tar roads and do a bit of towing . I found them very noisy and rather a hard ride. Although they have been good in the wet, not so much in the dry .
But most disappointing, after the price tag, they need to be replaced now in January 2025 @ 149000km.
I appreciate that I may be a bit of an aggressive driver but, in my opinion, to only last 42000km is shocking !
