These BF Goodrich Phenom were in fact so much underrated that it suppose to be. I'm on the second set on these awesome rubbers!
Dry grip is above my expectation with the correct setup of suspension and camber + toe setting, an ease of corner abilities by holding the car in each corner after corner. Sidewall is tough enough to support the weight transfer of the car during absolutely spirit driving.
Wet performance is above average, they tend to grip well and doesn't prone to any aqua planning hazard, at least from my personal usage during heavy rain with puddles of liquid on road.
Comparing against previous tyre, Yokohama Apex, Pilot Sport 5 and MC7, these tyre easily gain better performance than the rest any time, giving its price to performance.
Only cons is that, road noise significantly loud after 50% tread life, well, its an UHP anyway.
Surprisingly comfortable for a sport tyre. handling undoubtedly good both on dry and wet surface. there is noise but still on tolerable level and much better than my previous sport tyre (Direzza DZ102). Definitely will buy again
Swapped to these tyres after the original PS4 from the car tore a huge whole from cracking. Knew about these tyres about the same time so decided to go with them as they were also a cheaper option in Malaysia.
Comparing these Phenoms with the PS4, I personally feel that they are very similar to the PS4 in terms of grip. The phenoms seem to be grippier than the PS4 in dry while loses slightly in the wet. They are also as noisy as the PS4 but thats not important.
treadwear is 380 and lasted me about 50,000km with some fun in the wet. Overall very satisfied with these tyres priced at about RM500 per piece. Best bang for buck in my book as of now.
