All-terrain really is fifty-fifty: as much at home on tarmac as on an unpaved road. Cooper DISCOVERER AT3 SPORT 2 belongs to this category. A chunkier block tread and reinforced construction bite on gravel, mud and rock and resist cuts better, while the tyre keeps usable manners in everyday traffic. It is the choice for SUVs and pickups that meet rough ground more than just now and then, yet still cover their daily kilometres on the road. Compared with a road tyre, expect more noise and a slightly longer wet braking distance.

<p>I bought 5 pieces of Cooper Discoverer A/T3 Sport 2 195/80 R15 100T XL, 3PMSF tyres in November 2022 for my 2017 Suzuki Jimny off-road vehicle.
With the new tyre, the car shook the steering wheel violently at speeds of 80-90 km/h (it didn't before!). There were multiple checks of the suspension, several readjustments, and then I took the tyres to several workshops, where the general balancing machines showed that the tyres were fine. I spent several hundred thousand forints on the inspections, and then on the steering damper. But the problem just wouldn't go away. I've been struggling with this issue for 3 years. I also tried the car with other tyres of the same size but different brands, and it didn't shake with those.
In the autumn of 2024, I took the car to a tyre shop with a Road Force balancing machine. In the workshop, they determined that all 5 tyres were factory defective. The machine measured an "impact" of 70, 75, 110, 120, 125 Nm, which could not be corrected by balancing. This is causing the steering shake!
My warranty complaints were carelessly rejected by the dealer named Maxigumi.
Since I am satisfied with the tyre's other performance, comfort, off-road capability, etc., and the defective tyres do not cause significant problems at the back, only at the front, I ordered - after 2 years - 2 pieces for the front. The new tyres, manufactured two years later, had the same defect between 70-120Nm as the old ones :( I immediately returned them. Both series were manufactured in Serbia.

After 60.000km, 70% onroad. Handle dirt, sand, gravel very well. Clog fast in mud, as normal for A/T..
An granite or solid rock the wear is not good. Blocks break out, snow grooves make the blocks weak, but the grip is very good.
Never had a breakdown.
Driving on very soft sand with 1.5bar pressure works very well.
Will buy them again.
Bought just before Winter hit, have steep snow covered drive and tyres handled the job as well as the original set.

I'm using these tires mainly on-road. I am substituting a road tire with expectation for more ruggedness as a pies of mid when I do go on rough terrain during ca. 5% of the time. They are surprisingly quiet and comfortable on asphalt, I don;t mind that the tire has vague and numn handling, I am using it on a heavy family car.
