MUTANT

After the OE Bridgestones wore out, I replaced them with the Dunlop Mutants recommended for the ZR7 by several people online. They are a revelation! The Bridgestones were especially sketchy in the wet but the Mutants are sure-footed and inspire confidence, yet don’t seem to be wearing quickly. They can even handle some mud and grass. I recommend them.

Keep in mind that these are motorcycle tires.
These tires are exceptional at this price point since they are almost as good as Michelin Road 6.
The dry grip and wet grip is exceptional, haven't slipped by accident or in any other circumstances.
They are kind of noisy but that's because of the additional treads which help with the grip in wet conditions.
No wear is noticeable yet on the tires since my motorcycle isn't that powerful, so on a 100+ HP motorcycle they'd be more worn out.
I'd buy these for any naked, adventure or scrambler type of motorcycles.

I've used the dunlop mutants on my ducati multistrada v2s and i'm not too happy about them. My only reference is the OEM pirelli scorpion trail 2s and the mutants are worse on dry, they slip more than the scorpions; not much, they just slip enough to make me loose confidence.
On wet i'd say they are equal, maybe a bit better than the pirelli's, but i ride very carefully on the wet anyway.
Off road is their strong area. you can feel them grip much better than the oem pirelli's, but since i very rarely go off road, i'll stick to the pirelli's for my next tyre change.
Finally, they are not as durable; they squared off after only 8000km. now i'm at 10000km on them and looking to take them off. The pirelli's started squaring at 10000 and i changed them at 13000. The tread is still adequate though, it's the squaring that makes me wanna take them off, as they've become more "edgy" on lean.

Bought them for my 2008 ZZR600 , BEST DECISION IVE EVER MADE. They handle fantastic in the rain highly recommend for any motorcycle

I bought a set of Dunlop Mutant tyres for my Suzuki V Strom 650 and usually when I put new tires I am extremy careful for the first 100 miles as most of the tires are slippery when new. However I put those tyres on my bike and went for a ride, completely forgetting that I have new tyres and need to be careful. The most amazing thing for me was that I didn't even noticed that they are new. No hesitation on the curves, no slippery situations, nothing which indicates any sort of issue. I am already on +5000 miles on my bike and they are still in a wonderful condition to take many more miles. Exceptional handling in all kinds of conditions - wet, dry, back roads, light offroads, in wide variety of temperatures. I haven't tried them dyring thw winter only, bit everything else is no issue with the Dunlop Mutant. I will definitely buy them again.
