SP SPORT MAXX TT

<p>They're run-flat tires, so they have stiff sidewalls.
They aren't exactly comfortable to drive on, but they're adequate.
I've driven 20K km on them so far, and wear is minimal.</p><p>Still 5mm left</p><p>Safe tires to drive.</p>

This is my second set on this car and came as standard as purchased new. The DUNLOP-SP Sport Maxx TT 215/45R18 are great tyres offering good adhesion in dry and wet conditions. They have been rotated with each 10,000km service and have retained good levels of wear and performance for 75,000km so durability has been outstanding on my car. While they are more expensive than some, the long life performance makes it worth it.

I've had the DSST or RFT version.
Because I'm disabled it's important that I can drive when having a flat tire.
Front 225/45 R17 91W and rear 245/40 R17 91W.
The driving comfort is slightly less, but the ability to continue driving in the event of a flat tire is more important to me.

18s came on the Mazda 3 premium. Drove them to 51000km before retiring them, mainly because I hadn't rotated the tires and the wear became disturbingly uneven- but it still had some treadlife. Switched to the ContiSportContact 5 and although a little wider at 225 and lower profile at 40, feels about the same. However, I did notice the Contis had worse breaking distance--but it could be new tire issue. Also the Dunlops felt lighter probably because they are old now with less rubber--could contribute to the braking distinction. I switched also because the Dunlops are overpriced where I am and wanted to try something else. But yeah, even at 51000km, they were still solid in the dry and fine on wet highways if you lookout for puddles. They did start to squeak if you push them in turns at around 35-40000km.

Driven with Michelin, pirelli, Bridgestone, Falken...but Dunlops are the worst ever. Waste of money. Compromises everything about the car. Bad handling. Zero comfort. Never to buy again.
