ULTRAGRIP PERFORMANCE +

I drove them for 3 winter seasons on my Xc90 I. I used them to go to ski resorts, snow covered fields, icy slopes etc... not once did i get stuck (i tried properly).
So snow grip is great, wet grip very very good (i never had any kind of sliding), dry grip is good for winter tyre. Feedback i will not comment for this type of vehicle.
They did slip on ice but as all studless tyres do, but they pulled me where i wanted to go even on very steep icy slopes (and i mean such slopes uou wouldnt think it would be able to go over)!
Wear was negligible (weight of car is 2.3t and i did not try to save them at all). For 3 years wear was about 1.5mm. Car had regular wheel alignment which is a big factor. What i like about this tyres is that starting debth is around 9mm and lamelas go all the way to the base of rubber blocks. That is not the same for competition espetialy continetal ! Lamelas need to be deep so after a good deal od wear they stil grip snow! Continental winter tyres have about 1÷2mm of full width lamelas and then they start to disapear...
It woul be nice if Johnathan woul do winter tyre comparison on snow grip of tyres that had some wear (on 5-6 mm debth).

I drive this tire on an Alpina D3 F31 Bi-turbo Touring Allrad. This tire is okay in dry conditions and good in the wet. It’s the best I know when it comes to lateral grip on snow. With no other tire have I been able to corner so well and so quickly on snow. Everything else is also good. On my vehicle — even though it has all-wheel drive — the rear tires wear out twice as fast as the front ones. I have to replace the rears almost every year, while the fronts usually last about two years, depending on how much and how I drive. I would buy it again and have been doing so for years. Nothing else comes close to this one in terms of lateral grip on snow.

I've driven on the GY UGP+ for a full winter season now and for me it just clicked. In this category you don't expect downsides or problems, but the GY exceeded my expectation. I am all about the comfort and feel of the tyre and even with frameless doors I wasn't too much disturbed by the noise. Excellent tyres to be driving on snow, as long as your bumper isn't turning into a snow plow.

Compared to summer tyres, feels very flexible / they feel soft, we feel the tyre roll etc; but that is up to any winter tyre. Grip seems great; on pure wet roads it gives very strong confidence; on dry it works very well also. Not used on snow yet; but drive on icy road was ok, nothing surprising (well ice is ice... but but it made the job to avoid going out of the road). Weakest point for me is noise; globally makes a easily earable roar / clear sizzling on long fast curves (amplified when road is wet). This is the biggest weakpoint for me; I am eager to try next gen Goodyear or Continental to see the difference.

I drove 2000 kilometers in my Goodyear UltraGrip Performance+ 215/40R17 87V XL FP Mini Sport Coupe Ibiza CUPRA in the last 15 days. My first impressions are that the tires showed excellent performance and grip on wet, dry and snowy roads. I got the performance I expected without any worries, the tires are great, I recommend it to everyone.
