Mud-terrain is an unambiguously specialised tyre for heavy going — mud, deep ruts, snow, rocks. Kumho MT51 is one of them. Large tread blocks with deep voids clear themselves and dig in where an ordinary tyre only slips. You pay for it on the road: more noise, less comfort, longer braking distances and higher fuel consumption. If most of your kilometres are on tarmac, this is more tyre than you need.
