PILOT SPORT 5 ENERGY

Sharing a quick initial review of the new PS5 Energy since online data is scarce. Replaced my stock Hankook Ventus S1 Evo 3 EV and couldn't be happier.
​What I hated about the stock Hankooks:
​1. Very crashy over humps and minor road imperfections.
​2. Running lower pressure to fix the comfort caused a noticeable sluggish "drag."
​3. Traction control constantly cut power when accelerating on wet roads or carpark ramps.
​4. Steering felt heavy, bulky, and lacked agility.
​How the Michelin PS5 Energy compares:
​1. The Comfort: I was worried a UHP tyre would be loud and stiff. It’s the exact opposite. It's way more plush and much quieter over rough asphalt. Crucially, it filters out and hides the majority of harsh road vibrations and feedback, which is going to be amazing for keeping the drive relaxed and minimizing fatigue on long road trips.
​2. The Handling: A day-and-night difference. The steering feels lighter, highly responsive, and nimble. Lane changes feel completely planted and cornering feels entirely natural.
​3. The Efficiency: Absolutely brilliant. Even slicing through a light rain layout, it clocked an astonishing ~111 Wh/km. It gives you performance grip without the typical EV range penalty.
