AS-2+ XL

<p>I've been driving these tyres on my BMW 530d F11 2016 with 285/30-20 on the rears and 245/35-20 on the front.
Stage 1 tuned ~ 320hp & 650Nm.</p><p>For the starters, they are really good for daily driving.
My driving route is almost only highway and country road, yes I do some spirited/sporty driving time to time.
At very high speed you do feel that walls are bit soft, especially in the corners. Other then that, the overall grip is more than ok.
Been testing these on almost every conditions cold weather (except snow), summer, spring, fall and heavy rain weather.
The dry grip is good for commuting, as mentioned above they are bit soft at high speed.
The wet grip is one of the points were these tyres suprise me for the price. Been on roadtrip in Norway were the weather was raining constantly and on the serpentine roads while playing with other cars, the grip is actally good.
The handling and feedback is good as long you don't drive them hard.</p><p>Noise and consumption:
Noise wise, they are not super loud, still comfortable but they have tendency to "hum" a bit when they are worn out.
Consumption: the rolling resistance is a highlight, for commuting they are perfect. Consumption numbers with these has been a pleasure.</p><p>The downside is wear/tread life.
That is the only one is thing about these tyres that are big disappointment.
Manage to get out only ~ 35000km / 21700 miles and the rears are slick. And I only have them for 2 years. The front howevers have some life left, like 3-3,5mm maybe?
Since I have xDrive / AWD / 4WD, I have to replace all 4.
I do wheel alignment every 1-2 years depends on where I driving so I'm sure that the alignment is not the problem here. I do drive with 3 bars on the rears and 2.8 at the front since is a heavy car.</p><p>Maybe this is the price of buying a bit cheaper tyres but Nankang according to my research use to have good tread life in general.
Because of tread life, I'm not sure if I will buy these again but I've been happy with these in general for what it cost.</p>

Purchased based on Tyre Reviews and tests showing good results for wet performance. Car (Audi A4 3.0TDI Quattro) has not been driven hastily over the period (mostly used as 'kids Taxi'). At 13,300 miles one had to be replaced due to a shoulder area puncture. On inspection the tyre company pointed out circumfrential extenal cracking of its inner side wall. Whilst this did not seem unreasonable for a tyre that had been driven fully loaded whilst deflating over possibly up to 10 miles, it was observed that on checking all of the remaining fully inflated tyres, the same symptoms were present onthe exterior of all four inner tyre walls. The cracking was monitored throughout the following 9,000 miles as this became a constant worry prior to any long distance or motorwy journey and speeds were kept down as a consquence.
Whilst ultimately these tyres did not give any trouble and appeared to be value for money at around 77% of the cost of the previous choice (Vredestein Ultrac Vorti) I would not purchase Nankang again as they offered less value per mile, i.e. covered only approx 72% of the mileage (22,500 versus 31,300 miles) before wearing down to the 2mm treadwear gauge.

I bought a set of 4 Nankang AS2+ tyres for summer use in April 2023, the ride is comfortable, the grip in the dry is faur, but lacking in the wet. I can not comment on winter performance, as from November to the end of March they are swapped out for a set Kumho IZen KW27 winter tyres. My gripe is the poor tyre wear, after only 10,000 miles of very steady driving on a mix of urban and rural roads, with very little motorway use, the treads are down to 4 mm, and this is with rotating use of front to rear. I will likely have to exchange the whole set before 15,000 miles.

Had these tyres for 16 months and covered 11000 miles, as soon as I fitted them there was an immediate increase in road noise, which I got used to, however I believe these tyres are defective, as all 4 tyres are nearly bald in the centre but still have 5mm on left on the edges. These tyres have always been inflated to correct spec as per manufacturer instructions and wheel geometry is perfect. As they started to wear the began to tramline like crazy to the point it was becoming dangerous to drive the car. These tyres should have lasted a lot longer than 11000 miles considering 90% of that is motorway commute.

Good tyre - gone too soon though.
Purchased in January 23 for my BMW 520d. Car is used for commuting, never really driven hard as its not quick, but found they wore out fairly quickly after doing around 10,000 miles.
I did suspect this when I took delivery and saw the treadwear rating. I'm sure the trade-off would be better on a car driven more spiritedly, but for the daily commute, I think I will be looking for an alternative.
