With sport tyres, grip in every situation is what decides — under hard acceleration, under braking, in the dry and in the wet. Nankang SP-5 XL belongs to this group. Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. Where a standard tyre covers roughly 40,000 km, a sport tyre manages about 20,000 to 30,000 km — and considerably less with a sharper driving style or a heavier, more powerful car.

What owners say
I have just fitted two of these tyres to the front of my Mokka SE 1.4 Turbo and the first thing I have noticed is how light the steering is and no road noise, time will tell if they are better than the stock conti's that the mokka came with but I did get 27000 miles with them. I will keep you posted.
