With sport tyres, grip in every situation is what decides — under hard acceleration, under braking, in the dry and in the wet. Petlas SNOWMASTER 2 SPORT XL belongs to this group. Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. Where a standard tyre covers roughly 40,000 km, a sport tyre manages about 20,000 to 30,000 km — and considerably less with a sharper driving style or a heavier, more powerful car.

What owners say
I've been using it for 4 months and have driven approximately 5000 km. The majority of this was in the city and on the unpaved road where my workplace is located. The tire performs very well on both dry and wet surfaces, with a good braking distance. I had no issues on snow either. In terms of noise, you can hear the tires at every speed. For me, it was a great price/performance tire, and I can say it has been successful in this regard. If it maintains the same softness next season, I believe it will continue to satisfy me greatly.
İ've been using it since it was first released last year. İn İstanbul where I live it doesn't snow much but just to climb mountains in winter times I bought this set of tyres. Thr previous model was already known as the best in the snow but by this model it got better on the cold and dry surfaces. On wet it wasn't bad at all. My summer tyres are Conti PC7 and after them in the cold weather conditions I felt comfortable and safe. On the snowy hill climbs the feedback from the steering was satisfying as well. The tyresalesman said that he pattern of this model looks a little like the ones on the Nokian tyres. If your priority is pushing the limits for fun on snow, this is the one for the money.
Good handling at dry. Not bad at wet and snow. Good feedback, steering response. Good price.
