ANGEL ST

Used these on a benelli 500 (as a downgrade bike). I’ve used many different Pirellis on different bikes.
I will compare them to Avon sprint and Michelin road 2 (unfortunately discontinued) as they have been on the bike as-well.
Sort of like them, but do come with some issues, they have a decent grip in the dry and surprisingly amicable in wet conditions but nowhere near as good as the road2. Never had any proper moments with them but the Angel st’s had been the only tyre to activated the abs on the bike numerous times dry or wet…
Feel and communication from them is very good, far better than the road 2 without being firm end of like the Avon at normal tyre pressures. What does help with wear at the 1/2-3/4 profile (a common issue) is add few psi above the recommended helps this but starts to being closer to the Avons of being very firm without the positives of either the Road2 or Avon spirits.
Mileage was middling at best and nowhere near what could be claimed as leading.
Profile at the start is ok, stable but quite flat, life time profile wear was not terrible. With about 3mm left - will suddenly will get to the tread limit within a few hundred or miles.
would say for my case, they are best as a very average urban usage tyre, dependable but unless it’s extremely cheaper than other tyres with more positive attributes, there are better alternatives.
I wouldn’t buy again until I was desperate enough and I’d be wary on a heavier or more powerful bike.

The Angel STs have been great with one very important exception.
Handling is great on my 2017 Kawasaki Versys 1000 LT. Wet or dry. They never gave me a "pucker" moment all the way to end of life. So why won't I buy them again?
They wear out suddenly... Let me explain.
I left for a weekend trip with the rear tire looking fine. It was about 1/16" (2-3 mm) to the wear bars. At my first stop (about 180 miles) I checked and it was AT the wear bars. After another tank of gas, It was showing cord. I wasn't pussy footing around, but I wasn't abusing my tires either.
The front went 6,000 miles before doing basically the same thing. I will never but these tires again unless it's an emergency.
I replaced them with Angel GTs. So far they have all the good characteristics of the STs, and seem to be holding up better. I'm keeping my eye on them though...

In Brazil south roads and cities 50/50 use, the tire goes excelent on rain an dry tracks.

I ride the Adelaide Hills on a Suzuki Bandit 1250, a rather heavy sports tourer. My riding style is brisk, but nearly always legal. My priorities are overall stability, light and neutral steering (meaning that no effort is needed to maintain a line through a corner), long life, and of course, price. With the Angel STs, I think I made an excellent choice. The dry grip is very good (no slides or surprises) but then again, I do not ride like a Casey Stoner wannabe. I cannot comment on wet grip because I try hard to avoid rain and on the rare occasion I do get caught on wet roads, I ride like Casey's grandmother. Both front and rear need replacing after approximately 9000km which is a bit less than I had hoped for, but it is a heavy bike. When I first got them new, I was very impressed by how light and precise the steering became, like the bike lost 50 Kg instantly. When new(ish), the Angel STs track corners effortlessly and do not stand up if front brakes are applied while leaned over. The degree of wear is about the same front and rear, but the treads has retained their shape even after 9000+ kms, so the steering is still quite good, although they're a bit reluctant on initial turn-in when compared to new. Nevertheless, they perform much better than the Dunlop Roadsmarts they replaced, which were nearly unrideable at their wear limit. Stability has never suffered regardless of wear and they deal with bumpy roads pretty well, comfort- and grip-wise, which is good because we have a lot of crap roads. The Angel STs really suit the Bandit 1250. If the price is right, I would buy them again.

I have been using Pirelli Angel St's on my Yamaha FJR1300 for the last six years and I wouldn't use any other tyre. I find it gives me so much confidence going into and out of corners and it's brilliant in the wet. As for tyre pressures I have increased them by an extra 4 psi higher than book specifications. So, 44 psi in the rear and 42 psi in the front and it stops the cupping. It also makes them so much more responsive.
