Mud-terrain is an unambiguously specialised tyre for heavy going — mud, deep ruts, snow, rocks. Radar RENEGADE R/T+ is one of them. Large tread blocks with deep voids clear themselves and dig in where an ordinary tyre only slips. You pay for it on the road: more noise, less comfort, longer braking distances and higher fuel consumption. If most of your kilometres are on tarmac, this is more tyre than you need.

<p>I wanted a good looking 4WD tyre that worked well both on and off road. The Radar Renegade RT+ is in the sweet spot! I’ve had them for a few years and most likely will for a couple more years. I’ve been towing and living in a caravan for the past year, no problems at all. Highly recommend checking out and getting a set, love that dagger side wall. Saved $ too which is a bonus.</p>
I drive a Suzuki Jimny 5dr Gen 4.
The slightest bit of wet on the the road and my Jimny becomes a drift car. The rear end slides out when turning at an intersection around 15-20km/h. Pulling off from a robot I have wheel spin on slightly wet road. Would not recommend these for wet conditions.
These tyres do not play well with other brands (2 radar on back and 2 Goodyear on front) if you are only buying 2 i recommend against it.. the moment I drove out of the tyre shop my ute was wandering all over the road... the result and review may have been different had I put 4 brand new ones all around but money is tight... have since removed and put the 4 road tyres back on and ute drives like brand new again.. as I said could be different with a set of 4 but they don't play nice as a pair with goodyears
When pulling away in wet conditions - in heavy traffic, so not fast - my Ford's traction control comes on. It is like driving on a very slippery road when wet. Very disappointed.
