<p>Experience for the price was great! I've used these tires in deep Canadian snow on a 2023 Ford F-150. Day-to-day driving is good to great. Well above average commuting experience. On the days I've needed to use the tires in the snow I've never gotten stuck. Obviously I'm driving a 4x4 truck, but they performed to my expectations and exceeding them in a particular experience of mine. Long story short, we had a bad storm and on the freeway people were going 40-60km/hr while I was going 100km/hr; confidently!</p>
I live in Northern Canada and have to drive 200km (one way) to my mining job: I purchased these tires for my Tacoma once I took the job and knew I was going to constantly be "road tripping" in the winter. I went from constantly needing to use 4x4 on hills and offroad (running BFG KO2) to scampering around in 2wd with minimal drama (running the studded Sailun WST1). Definitely a very solid performing tire when the conditions get sketchy!
I live in Toronto and often drive a couple hours north in the winter. My daily driver is a 2010 Toyota Matrix. I previously had a set of Blizzak WS90. The WST1 are great tires in all conditions. I also have a set of Sailun all seasons that I use from spring to fall. I bought my winters 5 winters ago and when it came time to remove them in the spring, I knew they would need replacing this winter so, I left them on all summer. They now have very little tread left and it snowed this weekend. Surprisingly, they were still better than any all seasons in the snow with almost no tread left. I just ordered a set of WSTX so we'll see how they are. I highly recommend Sailun tires, both their all seasons and winters. I also recommend that if you drive in a place that has winter driving conditions, do yourself a favour, put a set of winter tires on. They could save your life. I'm both a racecar driver, having raced formula cars, sedans including ice racing.. I'm also a professional driver coach.
Just put these on our AWD Acura RDX, and it completely changed the vehicle from a solid winter unit to an absolute warrior in the snow/ice. Bang for buck you cannot beat these tires. Two thirds the cost of the bigger brand name winter tires and perform just as well. Saliun has really emerged as a quality tire manufacturer the last few years, and I would definitely buy these again in a heartbeat.
