I drove today with my Vredestein hitrac tyres and got caught by snowfall and a strong wind. I was planning to swap the wheels to winter mode 330km later but was forced to do it on the IKEA parking area since I had them in the trunk anyway. It was very scary with the old hitrac's.
It's one of those decisions I wished I made it earlier. It wasn't only because the Toyo tires have sufficient grip in the snow and ice. My car suddenly had stability on the highway which I never experienced before! It also dampened the road bumps very pleasantly.
A little noise from the studs but no vibrations of any kind. Forget about the Toyo snowprox which I have reviewed as well. Go for the observer ice freezer!
