CF2 Proxes

<p>This was my second set Toyos and the reason I went with them was the fact that I was really pleased with them the first time. That being said, these CF2s left me quite disappointed.</p><p>For context, I don’t put that many kms on my tires so I would expect their lifespan to generally be good. With these though, after almost 4 years and less than 15000 kms, they needed replacement. Wear was absolutely horrendous, as was their resistance to time.</p><p>For a fully garaged car, that sees no direct sunlight nor gets driven in extremely hot or cold climates I noticed that the tires became extremely stiff after 2.5 to 3 years. Initial handling on both wet and dry was quite nice as well as feedback and overall handling (for a comfort tire that is) but this was compounded as mentioned by their utter lack of longevity.</p><p>For their price range I would not recommend them.</p>

<p>The car is a toyota Auris. We have a CF2 tyre on rear wheel and have noticed it has cracking on the side wall of the tyre where the wall meets the tread. There is lots of tread left on the tyre 5mm. Tyre is about a year old. All other tyres on car (which are not CF2s) are ok.</p>

Comparing to Michelin Energy Saver, these ones are not worse. The rubber quality is actually higher and wet handling potentially better. One thing for sure - they are quieter and I love that. Nice riding feel, planted, grippy enough and above all I feel they are safe. I have even provoked them in the snow (mixed with rain but even then) and had a really hard time losing control with them in the rear (hand brake and all).
Price has raised since I bought them back in 2021 (paid 65€ for each assembled), but they still are great tyres.

The tyres were already mounted on my 2002 Camaro. Only 4 years old they already start to show small cracks on the whole tyre.
99% I agree with the car magazine test regarding performance. Quiet, low rolling resistance. Wet performance disappointing.
Not a bad tyre but those cracks came quite early.
Will change them to all season tyres.

The dry and wet grip are very good. The wear rate is very acceptable. They lasted for 5 years, 28 thousand miles. The shoulder wears faster and when this happens they loose performance noticiably. I have used HANKOOK SOLUS, YOKOHAMA SPORT ADVAN SPORT AS, this toyo have out performed this tires.
