With sport tyres, grip in every situation is what decides — under hard acceleration, under braking, in the dry and in the wet. Triangle TH201 belongs to this group. Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. Where a standard tyre covers roughly 40,000 km, a sport tyre manages about 20,000 to 30,000 km — and considerably less with a sharper driving style or a heavier, more powerful car.

<p>Wasn't sure what to expect when I brought an X5 with the SporteX th201 255/50r19 & 285/45r19 tyres, ,my initial thoughts were ill buy something better next time. I enjoy quite spirited driving but these tyres are miles better than any other budget tyre I've used before. Normally they don't perform well & are noisy. These do it all well, very little road noise despite being wide tyres, comfort, turn in, grip through the corner is all good & predictable at the limit. Wet grip was better than average but now under 3mm that has tailed off a bit & now feel it try to aquaplane a bit in the wet at higher speeds. Being a budget tyre that seemed to perform well, I obviously didn't expect them to last very long as is normally the case but these are on 29000, 2.6-8mm remaining on a big heavy 4x4, I think is very good. This is the first budget tyre I would actually happily buy again.</p>
Had these put on as needed tyres cheap as two of mine had split thanks to a pot hole, honestly expected nothing great but over 12k miles and 3 where still able to be used but binned the lot as had winter tyres put on. Handle well on dry roads and even Nürburgring over two laps, yes they started to let go after two laps but for a budget tyre they did great. Wet grip overall is great but noticed a few times on manhole covers they likes to slide so tried to avoid them from that moment onwards. Nobody mentioned if the ride of car had changed in anyway from the Micheline Crossclimates. Did notice a little increase in fuel consumption but nothing that worried me as I was still getting well over 550 miles to a 50L tank
Every time I get in the car I almost crash and the tyre wear sucks
Just like everyone else says, dry pavement they are ok, wet pavement is always an adventure. I literally hydroplaned for 15 miles straight on the highway during a rainstorm. I was amazed I never ended up in the concrete wall, but I attributed that to my driving skills.
Great value tyre in the dry/hot weather.
Not so great in the cold/wet, felt like i was driving on pvc/plastic at higher revs.
If you have a smaller hp car e.g a corolla and you're tight on cash should be fine.
If you have a higher hp car and or drive spirited in the wet, these tyres are a bad idea.
If you live in a city with minimal rain that is warm, this might be a great value tyre.
