A chunkier block tread and reinforced construction bite on gravel, mud and rock and resist cuts better, while the tyre keeps usable manners in everyday traffic. It is the choice for SUVs and pickups that meet rough ground more than just now and then, yet still cover their daily kilometres on the road. Compared with a road tyre, expect more noise and a slightly longer wet braking distance.

Vredestein Pinza AT are great tires. They've treated me really well and I think they'll be hard to beat. I may try the Falken Wildpeak AT4W next.
While they aren't the best in any category, they do really well all around, so they make a great all season.
I found these tires on Tire Rack and had them shipped to me/installed locally. Work in construction sales, so lots of highway travel (500+miles/week) with some intermittent off roading on jobsites. 4x4 is engaged a few times per month, so a good AT tire is important. Noise is noticeable from 15mph-30mph, then disappears. Grip and comfort have been outstanding. Living in the Southeast USA, I will likely not see much snow/ice to test them in. Tire wear should be decent, as they have a mileage warranty and I am neurotic about balance and alignment. Anyways. Would recommend. Also, they are somewhat lighter than competitors (in SL configuration) and that is a big plus for me. Do not want to add a bunch of unsprung weight, even to a "truck". Cheers.
