Autobild All-season tire test 215/55 R17 2025
For 2025, Auto Bild magazine tested eleven tires in the 215/55 R17 size . This size is commonly fitted to compact SUVs and crossovers , including models such as the VW T-Roc, Seat Ateca, Škoda Karoq, Toyota Yaris Cross, Hyundai Kona Electric and Fiat 500X .
The test was conducted on a VW T-Roc and included both a summer and winter reference tire to compare all-season performance.

The Vredestein Quatrac took the overall victory with a score of 1.2 and the label " exemplary ". It showed the most balanced performance in all conditions, with a particular strength in wet braking, where it stopped from 100 km/h 20 meters faster than the worst test participant.
The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 came in second place with a rating of 1.3, showing consistent performance across all disciplines and excelling particularly in dry conditions.
The surprise of the test was the Ceat brand with its 4 SeasonDrive X5, which came in third place together with the Hankook Kinergy 4S² (both received a rating of 1.4 ). According to Auto Bild, the Indian manufacturer brought the best price/performance ratio in the entire test - the tire achieved consistently good results in all categories at a price of around €340, which is significantly less than most competitors .
The Ceat excelled especially in dry driving and showed no significant weaknesses apart from slightly increased noise and minor compromises in curved aquaplaning .
