In the current ADAC all-season tire test 2025, Goodyear, Continental and Pirelli once again ranked among the best. The test was interesting in terms of the longevity of the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3, which almost matched the Michelin CrossClimate 2 and surpassed the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6. However, none of them achieved the exceptional wear result of the Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3, which remains the benchmark in terms of durability.

What is interesting about this year is that for the first time ADAC has designated several all-season tires as a full replacement for both summer and winter tires. However, it is still true that about half of the tested models did not meet their strict safety criteria.

• Dry road

The Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 dominated the dry braking distance test, beating the Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6. However, the cheaper models performed very poorly – they needed up to 8 meters more to stop.

• Wet road

The differences were even more pronounced on wet surfaces, where the best tires stopped almost 10 meters earlier than the weakest. Continental, Bridgestone and Pirelli were in the lead. A similar ranking was confirmed for braking on wet concrete. Pirelli and Bridgestone proved to be the best in aquaplaning, as they also managed deeper water.

• Snow

Barum, Michelin and Nexen performed best in snow, achieving the same results in braking distance. Most tires performed solidly, with the exception of Petlas. The snow traction test was dominated by Michelin, BFGoodrich and Nexen, offering the highest traction.

• Ice

On the ice, the best result was achieved by Nexen N'Blue 4Season 2, while the Aplus brand also performed surprisingly well, taking second place.

• Comfort

In addition, the Nexen tire proved to be the quietest in the pass-by noise test, which is important for driving comfort.

The test results showed that premium brands Pirelli, Bridgestone and Continental offer the highest safety on dry and wet roads, while Nexen surprised with excellent performance on snow, ice and comfort. Michelin traditionally confirmed its strength in traction tests, and Barum, as a more affordable option, offered solid results on snow.

On the contrary, cheaper models (e.g. Petlas ) lagged behind, especially in difficult conditions. For drivers, this means that the choice of all-season tires should not be guided only by price - the difference in braking distance between the best and the worst can reach up to 10 meters, which in practice is a key safety factor.
