<p>Fantastic tyres, totally transformed the performance and handling of my Mazda MX5</p>

<p>These were the Enliten R01 updated Audi version</p><p>The original Potenza Sport were not suitable for track days as they disintegrated with heat. Bridgestone claimed to have addressed this and increased longevity with Enliten technology. However, I can confirm they have not. The tyres cracked and chunked badly after 4 15 minute sessions with 30 mins cool down in between. (Still) don't use them on track! On the road they are fine.</p>

<p>Incredible dry grip, very sharp steering response especially on center that can make an average steering rack feel sporty. On a FWD car, the front tires are so planted and "manic" that the rear tires will sometimes break loose, which is a fun quality but a little unpredictable. Insane grip in the wet and will communicate with you when it's about to let go, which makes it very confidence inspiring. Even at 2-3/32 tread I am able to do 70-80 mph in pouring rain. Comfort is fine but the tires get loud as they wear out. Lasted 26000 miles on a ~300 hp Honda Accord 2.0T that saw about 100 launches and 5 canyon runs. Could've done 30000 easily if I was more diligent about tire rotations.</p>

I tend to drive my Grande Punto Abarth rather spiritedly mostly on B roads. I replaced some elderly Goodyear Eagles with these Bridgestone simply from reading reviews. They are excellent - even better than the Eagles. I guess if I had a niggle it is that performance tends to drop off a little bit below about 6 or 7 degrees (Celsius) but as I have winter tyres this isn't a major problem. The Eagles were a smidgen better at cold temps but I cannot really find a weakness at all in these Potenza Sports.

These tyres have given me a real mix of emotions to drive they are simply brilliant both in the wet and in the dry, would say some of the best tyres I have used.
But here come the big BUT, they crack and show wear at such a rapid rate, I know they are a performance tyre and I expect a higher wear rate, but to have to replace after 2 years and less than 5000 miles due to cracking is not what I would expect, simple advice is avoid as I will be doing with all Bridgestone products until I hear of improved longevity!
