GT Radial ClimateActive

I fitted this tyre on a new Fiat 600 hybrid, straight at car delivery, replacing the OE summer Goodyear's. I therefore have no benchmark compared to the summer OE's.
Fitted in early December, i had the chance to drive them on dry, wet and also some snow due to latest weather conditions.
the tyre was superb in all levels of grip. it is also very quiet and comfortable, despite the 18 inch and (relative) low aspect ratio.
Handling is soft and with delayed response, but i attribute this more to the car overall soft suspensions and chassis settings, rather than the tyre itself.
A very good tyre at a fantastic price point. And apparently the press agrees with me.

Tried these to replace worn Michelin CrossClimate 2, and the car previously had Hankook Ventus Prime 2 (factory fit) on it.
In summer, the GTRadials are just about as good as both the Michelin and Hankooks. In winter, particularly on ice, the CrossClimates were marginally better. The Hankooks were much worse, of course.
I'm very pleased with the GTRadials, I have no complaints at all, they inspire confidence all year round. I'll certainly be buying them for the other car, VW ID.5

Small update on the previous review having spent much more time with the tyres now covering over 7000 miles on them, all still very good, have had to do an emergency stop with these tyres and they performed better then the cross climate 2s I had on previously, the abs was able to control the stop better instead of just skidding. The tyres are wearing at a similar rate in my experience as well, after 7000 probably closer to 7500 miles the tyres are on 5.9mm of tread whereas they started on 7.5mm this is from my experience matching the cross climate 2s and given the price difference I’m very pleased with the wear rate, the grip on mud especially when parking in fields is much better, still yet to test in snow and ice.

Only had them on about a month at this point, but have covered 1000 miles with no wear showing at all, handling is good, if a little vague, not as much road feedback through the wheels as its predecessor. In heavy rain and mud these tyres perform really well, as I’ve come to expect from GTRadial tyres, the dry handling is similar in my experience to the Michelin Crossclimate 2, although I do find the Climateactive to be a more comfortable tyre in comparison over bumps and road imperfections.
The tyre is slightly noisy when cornering, but not enough to be an issue, just more noticeable then its predecessor and the cross climate 2s.
Given its performance on mud and gravel I have every confidence that these tyres will perform well in the snow, time will tell, but so far so very good, as I’ve come to expect from GTRadial, and in fact the Giti family of brands.
