Technical information
Focus: Sport
With sport tyres, grip in every situation is what decides — under hard acceleration, under braking, in the dry and in the wet. Kumho PS71 belongs to this group. Stability at higher speeds and precision through corners come on top of that. One thing drivers often underestimate when buying: grip comes from a softer compound, and a softer compound wears faster. Where a standard tyre covers roughly 40,000 km, a sport tyre manages about 20,000 to 30,000 km — and considerably less with a sharper driving style or a heavier, more powerful car.

<p>Good Grip in general but I dont push it in a Hybrid Auto, poor wear rate on the front axle, the pair are on 3mm after 15,000mls and about to be replaced. Must be the soft rubber compound used.</p>
<p>I’ve had these on my Jaguar XF for 18 months and 9,000 miles now. I have to say I am very happy with them. Wet and dry grip is on a par with the Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics they replaced, but they are lasting much longer. Still around 4mm on each tyre whereas the Goodyears were almost done by this point. Will buy again.</p>
Tyres were brand new. Part of the tread separated from the carcass at 18,000km. Is not an impact damage. Can clearly see is a separation and not a cut.
