<p>I’ve just fitted these tyres to my Citroën C5 X plug-in hybrid, and I’m a little disappointed. They feel comfortable enough, but they make an incredible amount of noise on certain types of road surface. Since I bought the C5 X primarily for its comfort and quietness, I’m already looking for replacement tyres.</p>

<p>This is my second review after experiencing two summer seasons with tyres.</p><p>I'm not a sporty driver but I like to roadtrip a lot and I've driven also some curvy mountain passes Transaplina and Transfaragasan on them plus plenty of kilometers on highway from Gdansk to Tuscany.</p><p>I don't understand some of the negative reviews. My car is poorly soundproofed toyota corolla but I didn't notice some unpleasant levels of noise. Fuel consumption is excellent, wear is very good, I think that I'm aiming for at least 55-65.000km. We'll see.</p><p>Considering grip, dry grip is good, however when really breaking hard you have kind of spongy soft feeling but I didn't notice tires slipping.</p><p>What I think is about average is wet grip. Driving in heavy rain on highway feels very stable and predictable.</p><p>In the past I've had continental premiumcontact 5 and hankook ventus prime 3. Compared to hankook I feel safer on wet roads, compared to continental I get better mileage and smoother passing over potholes.</p><p>To sum up, I consider this tires efficient safe choice for touring / cruising. If they'll last up to 60.000 km I'll say that they are also worh money because they were quite pricy. Would I buy them again? No, I'm planning to try as many tire brands as possible from pure curiosity, next I'm planning for Goodyear. Do I regret buying them? No overal they fit my driving style and they are huge update compared to Hankooks.</p><p>Also I'd like to add final information, my tires ale labeled made in germany, someone complained theirs are some asian country, maybe there can be some quality issues? I don't know.</p>

<p>Most reviews compare this tire vs others in comfort and these appear to win every time. I have come here to disagree. Noise is OK. Better than the Pirelli's I had before (20k mi but aged) But they feel rough. Unless you have perfectly smooth roads, you will feel feedback and bumps. They are not "hard". They are not a bad tire, but if you focus on comfort, look elsewhere. I drive a heavy luxury rwd luxury sedan and I noticed the difference immediately. Writing this after 7.5k miles having hoped they would behave as I was given the impression they should. I'm looking at other options now.</p><p>My size is 225 55 r17 in 97 W (non-XL). Pressure does not change the signature of the feel. They feel the same at 32psi and at 35psi. Maybe they are deemed comfortable when compared to other tires for modern 18/19/20in rims with less sidewall. Maybe that's it and the impressions we read are based on modern rim and tire combinations, so they do not apply to my older set-up.</p>

<p>I bought these Michelin Primacy 5 last summer and after more than 15000 miles I can say they are still great! My son just asked me yesterday are these new tyres or some old ones, since they look not worn at all and he is also looking to get himself some new Michelin tyres for his Peugeot.
So, after almost 25000 kilometres on a heavy SUV (Volvo XC40 D4 AWD) some other tyres will probably wore out, but these are still really great. Super silent, soft, fuel-efficient (the same as my previous Continental EcoContact 2) with great handling and very comfortable, used mostly on highway rides.
Since they are a bit softer than expected, I thought the fuel efficiency will not be that good, but they prove me wrong, although that softness maybe affects the road feedback. Still, they are a great companion to an all-wheel vehicle and I enjoy getting into curves knowing the tyres will follow my commands.
Will I buy them again? Probably, although since they will definitely last a few years more than expected, Michelin will come up with the new model before these wear out :)</p>

<p>I bought them because I heard that they are quiet tyres. Dear god what a lie it was - I have read that they are very hard tyres and almost all roads around me are rough asphalt - they are extremely loud. On smooth surface they are ok, pretty quiet, but as I said on rough surface it different story - they resonate terribly. Even though I did 1500km in those I will be swapping them out pretty soon as its unbearable how loud they are.</p>
