ALLSEASONEXPERT 3

I’ve previously written two reviews on these tyres praising them highly, however now the temperatures have warmed it’s like a completely different tyre.
In the warm they oversteer immensely, so much so I was convinced I had an issue with my suspension, having had this checked by two different garages, no suspension issues were found at all.
With this in mind I decided having been very pleased with the winter performance of these I have decided to keep these as winter tyres, and have fitted Maxxis Premitra HP6 tyres for summer use - these tyres have fixed the oversteer issues and the need for constant corrections.
Another issue I had with the uniroyals was getting them balanced, two shops tried and couldn’t quite get it right with a noticeable wobble initially at 50mph then at 70mph, the tyres needed to be road force balanced to solve this issue.
That being said after 7000 miles the tyres have only worn 1.5mm which I’m quite pleased with, as weirdly my car seems to chew tyres down quite quickly and I wouldn’t class myself as a particularly spirited driver.
In summary, I wouldn’t see these as an all season tyre, being in my garage now unmounted the side walls are incredibly soft now it’s warmed up, however the winter performance of these tyres is great, and I would consider them a winter tyre rather than an all season.

Just a quick follow up review to the initial review having spent some more time with the tyres, now covering 1000 miles with them, they are showing no wear, and haven’t exhibited any changes in behaviour since the initial review other than as the tyre has been used more it now seems to smooth out small road imperfections better than it did initially.
As a tyre it is very much an all season tyre, it drives like an all season tyre but is predictable in every scenario I’ve encountered so far, and I would say more responsive then something like the Michelin CrossClimate 2 which I have used previously.

Very very initial impressions here but in the last few days I’ve had chance to try these tyres in every weather condition, from dry to wet, snow and ice.
Dry - handles like I personally expect and all season to handle a bit vague but fine, similar to CrossClimate 2s
Wet - Excellent, feels like I’m driving on the dry no noticeable difference feels planted even in torrential rain.
Snow/ice - impressive descended down a snow covered slope as the first car down it, snow level was quite deep and it did it no issues, and climbed back up no issues on a snowy/icey incline, and was fine pulling into - reversing and pulling out of a icey lay-by
So far I’ve been very impressed with this tyre, it seems very capable, coming with just shy of 8mm of tread in my tyre size (perhaps 8mm not sure how accurate my tread depth reader is) I thought I’d leave this initial review as there aren’t many out there!
