PILOT SPORT 5

<p>I've had the Michelin Pilot Sport series on my GT86 for most of its life. Started with the PS3 then moved to the PS4 and now into the PS5. Definitely enjoy this tyre during mountain driving and even just day to day highways it is a great tyre. It has lasted what feels like forever and I easily do 80km per day, to & from work.</p><p>I am however now at the point where I'm looking for more dry grip with better turn in and that's where the PS5 feels like it can fall short. The turn in is not massively delayed but it's definitely a softer sidewall compared to others. The next tyre I am moving into is a 225/45R17 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 because of the reviews I have read here on, tyrereviews</p>

<p>These tires are excellent cruisers and they do corners like butter.</p>

<p>This tyre has a more compliant side wall than the pirellis which helps with bad roads and potholes . They offer substantially more wet weather grip for the uk rain, and you will find they last a hell of a lot longer than the OED fitted pirellis They may cost a little more but definitely money very well spent, they are very responsive and sure footed tyres for all year round use.</p>

<p>It was a big step up for me after switching from Bridgestone Turanza's to PS5. Normally my cars tyre sizes are FR: 225/45/18 and RR: 255/40/18. To be able to run on Michelins, I had to buy 245/45/18 all round with 30% less cost than original size. And I have zero regrets. Comfort level went directly up to 5 series levels. Especially on the shitty roads of the city I'm living in...
The best 3 things I can say that PS5 is best,
1- Aquaplaining. It slices through the deep water perfectly. Making it look like easy to others.
2- Longevity. I drove 67000 km's and yet they can go 10K more.
3- Looks. It looks beautiful and mean at the same time. I still think it's the best looking side wall on the market.
It tends to understeer on the limit. So, if you're driving on the limit for most of the time, you might look for other options. However, if you look for comfort and longevity as well as sportiness, there's no other tyre does better all of them.
The only thing I don't like is the price. It's expensive. So, after 67000 km's, now I'm switching to Pirelli PZero PZ5's with original sizes. I will update about that later.</p>
