PREMIUMCONTACT 7

<p>Very good, very happy with these tyres. As expected not great in the cold, but anywhere above a winter day and they're happy - I would say better in the cold now than when they were fresh.</p>

<p>Switching over from Crossclimate 2. Driving around 30,000 km/year. Premium Contact 7 has great handling and much less roll in the corners. The performance in the wet is really good to the point I'm excited for the rainy weather. So far, I've driven around 3,000 km with them, mostly in dry and they perform great - they give the car so much control.
Unfortunately, they feel extremely loud. Especially on the coarse Danish asphalt it feels excessive. When there is a new smooth asphalt, it's perfectly fine, but otherwise there is a constant, noticeable sound coming out of them.
I guess depending on what you're looking for in the tire Premium Contact 7 could be an amazing. If you're after good handling, safety and great performance in the rain, you'll be happy with these. But if you're looking for quiet touring tire, look somewhere else.</p>

<p>Performance-wise, I have nothing to complain about, but for them to wear out after only 12,000 km is unacceptable. I will never buy them again.</p>

<p>After breaking in, these tires show their real self.
And I have to say, they are now absolutely amazing. Their comfort is the same or better than my previous T005s.
They grip! They steer! They are predictable, linear. Absolutely perfect tires!
They just needed to break in. You can see that, with the same pressure, they sit lower; their sidewalls have softened up.
I run 32/28 psi F/R, and although this pressure is on the higher end of the spectrum for my load capacity and actual loading conditions, they are super comfortable. This was my main criticism when I first fitted them.
Their turn-in response has become fully linear; they load up and turn, not in 2 steps as when first fitted!
What can I say? I really really really like them. And I am quite peculiar with what I like in tires.
To conclude, these are some of the best 16" tires I have ever driven. They are worth every penny!</p>

<p>I had these tires on my Skoda Kodiaq (215/65 R17 99V) for around 41,000 km, driving mostly in the city and on the highway. Grip was excellent in both wet and dry conditions. Noise was moderate and comfort was good. They held up reasonably well until a point - when it was time to replace them, the two rears were really worn out, while one of the fronts was still in relatively good shape. Unfortunately the other front got cut on the sidewall during a vacation, so I ended up having to replace all four earlier than I would have liked.
In the end I didn't go with the same tires again. I opted for the 103V XL size, mainly because I believe it'll hold up better on the sidewalls and generally on the bad, pothole-filled Greek roads. I also figured I'd try a different brand, since I always go with Continental or Michelin, so I ended up choosing the Goodyear EfficientGrip 2 SUV 215/65 R17 103V XL. Overall though, I was very happy with the Continentals while I had them.</p>
