<p>In the third season of use, they became very dangerous to use during icy conditions in the autumn-winter period. I had to switch to my old winter tyres Michelin Alpin 5, and the problems disappeared.</p>

<p>These Continentals replaced some truly dangerous Chinese Goodride tyres fitted by a previous owner (which wandered so badly at speed and on the wet I thought I had serious suspension problems) and they were a revelation. Just so comfortable and accurate, their only flaws so far seem to be slightly higher wear than I was expecting, and thin sidewalks like much of the competition that make them susceptible to pothole damage like most brands. I would rate the Michelin CrossClimate 2 higher for performance, but those are much stiffer and less comfortable.</p>

<p>It’s been almost two years since my 4 tyres were fitted. 28,000 miles driven. All 4 tyres have 5mm tread depth remaining, or approximately 47% worn. Tyres are wearing evenly. I am very happy with these tyres as all-rounders for varied road and weather types. I’m not a boy racer but occasionally like to get as spirited as the car will let me. I’ve never been let down by the tyres, but I also know I am driving within their capacity. The wear rate seems really good for me. I’m also using the run-flats so comfort is a little stiffer but I also like it that way anyway. Took the car to Europe last winter and was not let down in snowy and icy conditions over there. In summary, super happy, suit me well and will replace with the same when the time comes. Cheers.</p>

<p>Very good handling in both low and high temperatures.
Very comfortable on the road imperfections.
Also very quiet.
In the twenty years that I have had the car and always with Michelin Primacy tyre changes, these must be the best tyres I have ever put on.
I haven't tried them on snow and ice yet.</p>

<p>I'm using these tyres for the last 2 years and I'm around 50k km od 31k miles. The picture Im posting is taken on the day of this review. From my experience I can confirm everything that currently describes this tyre: Excellent wet grip and braking with strong confidence in rain/greasy conditions
Comfortable ride quality with good bump absorption
Low noise/refined cabin compared with many previous tyres
Capable cold-weather and light-to-moderate snow performance for an all-season
Good overall stability and predictable behaviour
Often reported as strong/slow treadwear and good longevity
Good traction under acceleration (reduced wheelspin)
Decent efficiency/rolling resistance (some report improved MPG).</p><p>Even after 51k km, they look good enough for at least one more year.</p>
