A standard tyre with an added dose of sportiness — Vredestein WINTRAC PRO+ is one of them. The basis stays balanced: comfort, quietness and tread life at the level of an ordinary tyre. The manufacturer adds a stiffer sidewall or a grippier compound, so the response is sharper at speed and through corners. The ideal is that none of it comes out of the tyre's mileage.

<p>Tyres has been perfect on my electric car which is very very (2,5 tonnes). quiet, stabile and long lasting.</p>
<p>I bought these as I wanted a dedicated Winter tyre that would perform better in Winter conditions than an all season. I had the Goodyear Vector gen3 previously and as very good as they were, all all seasons are compromised tyres. I want to drive optimally and drive the Asymmetric 6 mid Spring to mid winter, they're really a great great tyre. I haven't drove nor ice on the Wintrac pro pluses just cold wet or cold dry conditions. There okay the price compared to the Gy ultragrip performance 3 (205 Euro per tyre) or the Michelin Alpin 7 (230 per tyre) was definitely the deciding factor here. I ordered them from tyre leader at 128 per tyre and they took only a week to arrive to my home in Dublin. I got them fitted for an extra 35 per tyre so 165 isn't bad when you compare to Goodyear or Michelin. They were made in Hungary of October 2025 so that's great as I only ordered them the first of December. Tread wise they come with 8.4mm but when I got them taken off in March they had gone down to 7.5mm. They aren't great when it's above the plus 7 in the dry feel a bit wooly. Also wet braking is an issue regardless of the temperature. They definitely feel as if they are wobbling a bit to stop. I drive a Passat Rline estate so these touring winter tyres are okay, albeit you just need to be careful when to put them on weather wise. I really want to try them in snow and that would be a great experience. Regardless of the brand I won't spend over 200 on 1 tyre as much as I wanted the ultragrip performance 3's. The vreds aren't going to that bad especially in the snow and that's what these are designed for. Studded tyres only work on ice and they're banned here in Ireland. For the price and all other factors these were the best option and will beat an all season in the snow. Maybe the cc3 might be better, but these are better in aquaplaning conditions which is important to me. The Asymmetric 6 is B tread resistance A wet braking and 70db these are C tr B wet braking and 71db, so definitely a natural trajectory for a winter tyre. I do feel they are the best option but do your research, it pays you back.</p>
